Oh My Cake

Nakalimutan ko na kailangan nga pala namin mag cake taste para malaman kung anong flavor ng cake namin. so we finally scheduled an appointment with Ate Maricel of Hearts and Bells.

Schedule: March 27 @ 9:30-10am
Where: Main office in Binondo

(chocolate cake, mocha cake & carrot cake)

I tried the chocolate cake before during the wedding fair in Megamall where we booked them. So Charles & I tried their Mocha cake first then the carrot and lastly the chocolate cake.

Critic:
Mocha cake: It is a little dry for me. Seems like an ordinary Chiffon cake from goldilocks.
Carrot cake: Ooohhh my I love the carrot cake. It's so moist and you can really taste the
sweetness of the carrots. But then I don't feel like having a carrot cake for our
wedding cake.
Chocolate cake: THE BEST. It is really really moist inside and charles loved it as well. Even
though there's no frosting it feel like there is that's how moist it is. A taste of
heaven (if there is one).

Okay with my description i know I gave away the flavor already. So Chocolate Cake it is.

Bridal Fair @ The PICC Forum

Date: March 13-14, 2010

DAY 1

Charles and I went to the wedding fair but of course... :) Here's our usual list of suppliers to look for:

• P/V
• HMU
• Photobooth
• Musicians
• Flowers

(our free canvass bag, magazine, cd, directory of exhibitors and our 2 name tags)

We went there around 10:30 am, and as expected ang dami ng tao. The hardest thing to find are the flowers, sobrang onti lang ata or hindi ko lang talga sila masyadong napansin so hindi ako nakapag pa qoute for it. Mas naging busy kami looking for HMU and P/V. Dalawang beses lang ata ako nagtanong ng Musicians, Bernie Pasamba & Totally Mesmerized. With P/V naman, B.A. Studios (who got my attention), Enoxx Enterprise (Lomo shots) & Rjm Photography. With HMU naman, Diana Kwong, I Do Makeup by Jasmine Mendiola & Irene Manigo. After long hours of talking to possible suppliers and countless of brochures in the free bag. We finally decided to have our late lunch @ around 2pm and to call it a day. Uber pagod. Tomorrow will be another day.

DAY 2

Late na kami nagpunta for some personal reasons. Dalawa na lang naman kasi yung reason namin for going back. First para mag pa reserve sa B.A. Studio to block our dates. Second Maglibot at mag try ng photobooth. Kaso mas maraming tao ngayon kaya dalawa lang yung pictures namin sa Photobooth, Fantasy Kiosk and Funlipix.

Happy at least may P/V na kami. One major Supplier down... :)

P/V - - - - Check

If you can still remember I recently blog about still not having my P/V and couturier. I finally booked one of them. HAPPINESSSSSSSS.... :)

Before the fair nagsulat na kami ni Charles kung ano-ano pa mga hahanapin namin sa expo para hindi sayang sa oras. Here's our list:

• P/V
• Photobooth
• HMU
• Musicians
• Flowers

Wala akong masyadong flowers na nakita so hindi ko na muna pinagtyagaan yung mga nandun. More on P/V and Photobooth yung hinanap namin. Pero isang supplier yung talagang agaw pansin samin ni Charles. Kasi naman noh Neon Green ang color ng name nila. Tapos yung AE na nakausap ko talagang ang sabi niya kagad sakin.

"Mam magkano budget mo para sa P/V?"

So ayun nung nag discuss kami ng packages, onsite, payment schemes and reservation. And syempre nung available pa yung date namin. Naging mas interested kami sa kanila. After the sat expo I explained again kay Charles yung pinagusapan namin nung AE. and nagustuhan naman niya. So nung sunday bumalik kami sa expo just to book our P/V. Just to be safe pinasulat ko sa contract yung pinagusapan namin nung AE nung sat para lang sure na lahat.

Budget: Slightly over by 5k (but worth it)
Comment: Lots of freebies

After reading the contract and discussing it again. I gave the reservation na imbis na 5k naging 2k reservation lang. She even gave me a free mannequin for my gown. We closed the deal by signing the contract. Thank you Ate Joan for the Budget package you gave me. I'll talk to you soon... :)

PICC Complimentary Pass

Days Left: 221 days as of today

I got 5 Complimentary Pass for the PICC Fair this weekend March 13&14.

My friend gave me the first 2 tickets then 3 tickets was given by ms. baby of jorge portrait naginquire lang kami then she handed me the tickets kahit na sinabi ko na meron na akong ticket... :) So I posted the tickets at w@w para naman ma share ko yung pass sayang kasi pag hindi naman magagamit. Since 2 days yung fair. for March 13 naka register ako then for March 14 free pa din entrance ko because of the pass.. :)



FYI: 3 w@w sis na nga pala asked for the tickets.
