Couturier - - - - Check

Days Left: 278 days as of today

I've met up with Ms. Sheryl Sept of last year. I asked for a qoutation of the gown that I like as well as for the 2 moms. She gave me a reasonable rate so I didn't hesitate to get her. But since we moved the date i forgot about her already, just until today. I called her up again last wednesday to schedule an appointment.

December 04, 2010

My meeting with Sheah Designs. Unfortunately Ms. Sheryl is not there, Ms. Marisa is the one who talked to me regarding my inquiries. Nothing special for now. I just wanted to book the date to be sure that I have a couturier already. My 2nd meeting with the 2 moms is 6 months before the wedding.

Finally one major supplier checked again on my list. Thanks to my co-w@wies who recommended Sheah Designs. I'm sure I will not have any problems with them. =)

That's it. Till Next Time.

Misunderstanding

Days Left: 282 days as of today

Back in 2009, Charles and I purchased our wedding bands at Goldenhills it was during the bridal fair at SM Megamall. The ring that we saw is a 5mm white gold with 6 stones circling the whole ring. We both don't like that many stones so Ms. Karen, the one who assisted us, told us that we can remove some stones. So Charles & I decided to have just 3 stones on each band. Payment after payment after payment. Charles saw in our receipt under item description:

"pair wedding ring with 6* (stones) each band cartier"

When we made our payment last November 26, 2010 we asked Ms. Jana regarding our concern. Because we specifically said 3 stones only. She even told us that it must be a total of 6 because 3 stones each but no because it says there "6 stones EACH band". Charles' concern is about the price of the ring. If the rate given us was for the 6 stones each or 3 stones each. They informed us to call Ms. Karen who is now based on SM Clark regarding the ring.

I called them and asked for Ms. Karen, the one who answered is Ms. Yogi, she told me that there is no Karen there only a person named Cathy. Whatttt??????

But thankfully she helped me with my concern. She took the details of the receipt so they can pull out their Job order then she will just call me back. After about 15 minutes she called. And guess what? In their Job order it was written there 3 stones each band. I asked if they could forward the JO at Trinoma so we can have a look. Ms. Yogi told me it will be forwarded tomorrow and we could check it there.

I hope this will end well. We are not mad at anyone we just want to clarify it.

That's it. Till Next Time.

nice-to-have

Days Left: 318 days as of today

I really want this Candy Buffet to be our souvenir. But I think it's already too much for our guests souvenirs because we have our photobooth already plus we have 3 candy jars to give to our sponsors.

(candy buffet and boxes for your souvenirs)

Guests can take a box each and put any candies that they want. So FUN... =)

(lots and lots of candies, yummm)

(just like our motif)

It's too much candies and a waste of money I know. But I really love this buffet... =)

That's it. Till Next Time.

Photobooth - - - - Check

Days Left: 325 days as of today

Yesterday Charles & I went to the Kasalan 2010 at SM Megamall. We are looking for this particular supplier, that's the only reason why we wanted to go. After roaming around the event 3 times we can't seem to find that supplier. We accidentally run into this other supplier. They seem to have a good promo package and the quality is good. After trying their pictures. We walked away for awhile and after a few steps we went back to their spot and signed the contract.

(sketch trial, this one is a little bit slow)

(colored trial)

We availed their Promo 1 which is 2 hours plus 1 hour free. Plus we have 24 save the dates magnet free. Yey for us another supplier down. =) Thank you Shutterbox Photobooth. See you soon for our save-the-date session in your shop.

Details:
Budget: Lower than our set budget
Comment: Good picture quality and fast printing

Something to celebrate

Days Left: 333 days as of today

A day we will always remember just ended with 6 minutes left on the clock and it is officially the 11th day of October. But before that let's rewind to yesterday for the story I really want to share.

I've been asking Charles on what we can do to celebrate our anniversary. We really needed a break and wants to Check-in in a Hotel, but we don't know where to. 4 days to go and it will be our anniv. already and yet we still don't have a plan. I asked him again and he said "ako ng bahala". Okay fast forward to October 09...

I went to work first (soo lazy to go) at 1pm Charles picked me up and we went home first to freshen up and fix my things. He said we will be checking-in (but i don't know where) surprise surprise our luxury hotel.... =)

(got the picture from google)

Wow I really can't believe it. I have a little clue though because he kept on mentioning our friend who works here. But still i loved it.

We rest for awhile because we got so tired due to the traffic and who would not want to rest here right?!
(our room on the 5th floor)

After our rest we went to SM Mall of Asia to just walk around to get ready for our dinner later.

(dinner buffet at Spiral)

Japanes, chinese, italian, spanish cuisine. We don't know where to start, they all look so good. After an hour and a half of eating. I can't move anymore. Coffee and dessert then went back to our room.

(gifts: upper left make-up for me, upper right GAP spiked perfume and body wash for him, bottom a bouquet for me)

I was so happy he loved my gift. I was the one who picked up the make-ups because he does not know how to choose he just paid for it. =)

(having a blast on our special day)

Celebrating 10th year anniversary as boyfriend and girlfriend is so rare. Even though we will be spending a lot of money for next year we made sure we will celebrate our 10th year BIG. And this is how we did it.

Happy 10 years to Us and many more to come.

That's it. Till Next Time.

Happy Preps... :)

10-10-10

Days Left: 333 days as of today

Some says it’s lucky while others say it’s just another day.

Some are running today for the pasig river but some are being lazy.

Some are being born and some are celebrating their birthdays.

Some are getting married while others are being buried.

We have different things to do on this 10-10-10.

For Charles & I we have been celebrating this for some time.

Way back high school to college until the time we have jobs.

Last year we’ve talked about this that after this 10-10-10 celebration 6 days more and we will be husband and wife. Unfortunately we have to push our wedding to 2011. So for now we will be celebrating yet again. While they do nothing, we will be celebrating our...

10th Year Anniversary

That's it. Till Next Time.

A Productive Day

Days Left: 337 days as of today
Date: Oct. 04, 2010 (Monday)

Masama daw maglabas ng pera pag monday dahil magtutuloy-tuloy daw ang labas ng pera ng buong linggo. But we have no choice. Pag may pera na kailangan magbayad sa supplier. =)

B.A. Studio

I scheduled last saturday to meet up with them for additional payment. Our scheduled meet-up is at Waltermart North Edsa by 1pm on Monday. Come monday Ms. Evelyn our contact person called me and asked if we can move it by 2pm. So i said it's okay. By 2:15pm I left the house to go to waltermart since it's near our house i arrived just before 2:30pm. I texted Ms. Evelyn to tell her that I'm at the place already but she didn't reply. after 15mins still no reply. So i decided to go to Mercury first. Still no reply, so I went to the bank. At around 3pm a Ms. Rose from BA texted and she said she's on her way (take note: on her way) Charles is getting annoyed already because it has been an hour and I'm alone. After 30 mins Ms. Rose finally arrived. She apologized for being late because she came from libis. For me it is not an excuse to let your client wait for you for an hour and a half but i kept my temper cool since I'm in a good mood that day. So I gave her the money and signed the receipt and we said our thank you's and goodbye.

Goldenhills

Finally after months of asking and telling Charles that its about time to pay for our rings we did eventually did it... =) Muntikan pa kaming masarahan cause they close the stores at 7pm. We arrived there a little past 7pm buti na lang Ms. Cai attended to us pa but we paid for the exact amount cause their vault is closed already. No worries there. And we told her that we moved the wedding date to next year.

Yey for us for a productive and expensive day. =)

Due to lack of time I forgot to check out simplejoys to look for accessories for my DIY wedding cord. Maybe next time.

That's it. Till Next Time.

Happy Preps... :)

Sad & Happy News

Days Left: 345 days as of today

Last saturday an unexpected guests have arrived. Charles' uncles flew from the states for his cousin's wedding in tagaytay. Both of them will be our principal sponsors, sadly only one can come home next year for our wedding. Charles & I got disappointed because of the news. That's the sad news. The happy news is that his other uncle will come home again next year together with his wife and daughter and he is insisting his sister to come home as well. =)

Pa consuelo: The two of them gave us our early wedding gift. =) and it will be a big help especially the one from the uncle who can't come to our big day.

Our Wedsite

Days Left: 422 days as of today

I forgot to blog about our wedsite. So here goes...

Finally after months of thinking what and how to write our love story, Charles & I decided to do it like an interview, question and answer portion.

1.When and where did you first meet?

Charles: First year highschool. Saint Claire School Masbate .

Carla: 1997, we were seatmates back then.

2.What is your First Impression?

Charles: Mataray pero parang may something nice naman inside.

Carla: Makulit, maingay. In short sakit sa ulo. (well this one is true, peace hon.)

3. First date?

Charles: group date... with her friends and their corresponding bf's watched a robin padilla and regine velasquez movie forgot the title since im too busy looking at carla kasi we're on separate seats, she sat at the front row.

Carla: 4th year highschool. More of a group date yun we watched “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw” at Sm North. He’s sitting at the back row. =)

4.How many bf/gf did he/she have before you?

Charles: none? I'm so lucky to be "da pers!"

Carla: I think 4th niya ko? I’m not really sure. =)

5. What does your partner do that always makes you laugh?

Charles: whenever i try to slowly move my hand to her hand, touching her pinkie... tpos she wades my hand off, pushes me aside, tucks to the other side then says in a pa-demure effect "ano ba?..." tpos may kilig factor kunware while covering her smiling face.

Carla: When he really tries to make his knock knock jokes funny.

6.What qualities did you appreciate in him/her?

Charles: Can withstand my kakulitan, strong when I’m weak, remembers things that I usually forget, decides for me when I’m indecisive.

Carla: He’s always there by my side when I need him. (Driver, tagabuhat, tagalines, punching bag... joke) No seriously he’s just there through good times and bad times.

7.What’s the one thing you wouldn’t forget about him/her?

Charles: smile... dimples kasi weakness ko eh... tska how she brings herself with confidence... i llllooove it!!!

Carla: everytime I fake sleep in his car while he is driving he sings so hard as in feel na feel niya. Minsan hirap mag pigil ng tawa.

8. When did you know that he/she is “The One”?

Charles: The day she tied a necktie around my neck when we were still in high school.

Carla: One day back in highschool when he escorted me and a friend to where we waited for our school bus, while I was sitting my friend (sitting in front of me) suddenly smiled. I asked her why, she drag me to the nearest restroom and told me what Charles did. He voicelessly said “I LOVE YOU” I felt butterfly in my stomach and i keep on jumping and wants to scream but I can’t because I know that he is just outside the restroom. I felt my face turned red.

9.What actions of your partner’s says “I love you” to you?

Charles: when she opens her arms and hugs me tight... when i leave for work, when i arrive from work, when i'm about to sleep, when i wake up, after a bath, while she cooks food, after she cooks food and when i feel sooo sooo down...

Carla: Everytime he holds my hand, squeeze it a bit and place it at his chest then kiss it.

10. The Proposal:

Charles: before eating dinner, right after taking pictures (cuz we like to take pictures of our dinner before eating) since i'm sitting on the floor, i stood to one knee as she approach me and said "Hon... i know this would not be perfect, since i still don't have the most important thing to do this... (the ring... haay...) but this is the perfect place and the perfect time to ask... Will You Marry Me?"then she replied "Syempre naman... " and she cried...ako d ako umiyak... hehehehe.

Carla: It’s our 9th year anniversary. A 4 day prep to book for a overnight stay at Discovery Suites. We went to Megamall to buy our dinner and decided to eat at the hotel na lang. So I prepared the food at our mini table and started taking pictures. I asked him to move for awhile coz I want to take pictures of our food. When I’m done I told him to wash our hands first before we eat. Then he proposed. I don’t remember what he said because I was crying already and so was he. All I remember was my answer to his question was “Syempre Naman”.

So we changed our minds...

Days Left: 425 days as of today

So yes we changed our minds for the nth time... But this time it's final because we bought our DIY projects already at Divilandia. I'll just make the story short so here goes:

Theme: from Movie to School Themed Wedding
DIY: Notepads, Pencil, Monograms, Invites, Other Souvenirs

Why School Themed Wedding?

Just like our story in our wedsite (www.mywedding.com/colormyworldteal) Charles & I met during grade school and became close friends during high school. So we both think that it will be the most perfect theme for our wedding. Plus we got inspired with a few pictures of school themed weddings while searching at Google. Some pics:

Heirloom

Days Left: 452 days as of today

I asked my mom if she have any ring that I can use. Because the ring that she's currently wearing is the one I like. Then she said she have one ring that she's not using because it's small. I told her I'll just look for a shop or a trusted "alahera" that can resize the ring. She said she will give it to me tomorrow. Then while we were talking regarding Pilipinas Got Talent winner and A big school for my niece. She handed me the ring. It's too small for me as well (damn you chubby fingers).

Then she handed me this other ring. She keeps on saying that it's her wedding ring, I told her that it's an engagement ring but the ring has my father's name engraved on it and their wedding date. Odd, but the ring is so simple and nice. Here's the shocking part. When she said. "Oh ayan dalawang singsing binigay ko sayo ha?!" Binigay? I was just borrowing pero okay na rin... :) I'm so happy because she gave me her engagement ring but my sister got married first so if it's an heirloom she should have given it to my older sister right?! Anyways I was so happy that I did this blog right away and asked a few friends if they know a trusted alahera to do the job. :) Here's the ring... :)

(Need to resize it 2 sizes bigger, again damn you chubby fingers)

Thanks mom for the rings. :)

That's it. Till Next Time.

Happy Preps... :)
