DIY: Our Quirky Rosary Cord - - - - Check

Days Left: 77 days as of today

When I finally finished our wedding cord, I immediately showed it to h2b. He's really impressed of what I did, because at first he can't picture it out. Every time I buy something bit by bit for the cord like the initials and the crucifix he kept on asking me "what for?!" This has been a trial and error project for me. At first I don't want to use pins because I'm scared it might get caught with my gown or h2b's barong but when I tried to use a thick nylon it's too heavy, so I just used the pins I just made sure that eveything is intact.

Excited much to post this DIY... :)

(L-R, top-bottom)
(our motif beads, pic 2-4 trinkets, pic 5 initials and crucifix, my trusty and rusty pliers and long nose)

Steps: (Hope you understand this)

1. Insert the pin into the beads. If there's an excess on the pin you can cut it using your pliers.
2. Twist the other end part of your pin. Secure your eye (the twisted part of the pin) to make sure that the other pin that will follow will not be detached.
3. Insert the other eye of your beads to the first one. Until you form a chain. (It is easier for me to finish a set of "eye-bead-eye" before I put another set than doing a few sets then removing the eye to connect to form the chain)
4. Continue making the chain to form at least 50 inches before you connect the chain to a trinket of your choice.
5. Do a second chain by doing steps 1-3.
6. Connect your chains or rosary, if you prefer it more, to a ring or a trinket of your choice.
7. Secure every eye that you make just to make sure that everything is in place and will not fall off easily.

I bought the beads and the trinkets at Welmanson. The crucifix I bought it at St. Paul in SM North and the letters in a bead shop I forgot the name it's in Trinoma. The other materials like the pins and the pliers I have it before when I use to do my own earrings, but they have it at Welmanson as well.

That's it. Till Next Time.

Happy Preps... :)

One Productive Night

Days Left: 229 days as of today

It's a slight productive night for me. I got so inspired looking at Bridal Book's photos I instantly remembered I have things to follow up. I was glad that my friend is online I got to talk to him regarding my Bag tag. Last week I gave him a layout and asked him if he could print one for me so that I could see the sample. He showed me the sample just now and i loved it. Happy with my layout. So that's a go already.

Then we started talking about wedding preparations since he's getting married as well. Then he asked me if I still have anything that i need in his shop. I remembered about our notepads. He said he can print it as well. Finally. After months of searching and asking around he's the only solution to my problem.

So now I just have to revised my layouts (notepad and bagtag) a bit and make it clearer. Then Then we can start printing already.

Thank you Pau. I'm glad I could help with your mini business I know you need every penny you get with that because you're getting married too. =)

That's it. Till Next Time.

Happy Preps... :)

Invitation Layout

Days Left: 237 days as of today

Finally, the first thing I did when I got my laptop was make our invitation layout. I spent at least 3 hours with the layout. We wanted a simple invitation, he's satisfied with the output but I think it's too plain. So feel free to help me decorate it some more. =)

(the first one is our insert, the second one is our main invite)

What we will do is use fold the Bigger paper (2nd picture) in half and put the insert inside that folded paper... hmmmm... =) So what's missing?

That's it. Till Next Time.

Happy Preps... :)

nice-to-have

Days Left: 318 days as of today

I really want this Candy Buffet to be our souvenir. But I think it's already too much for our guests souvenirs because we have our photobooth already plus we have 3 candy jars to give to our sponsors.

(candy buffet and boxes for your souvenirs)

Guests can take a box each and put any candies that they want. So FUN... =)

(lots and lots of candies, yummm)

(just like our motif)

It's too much candies and a waste of money I know. But I really love this buffet... =)

That's it. Till Next Time.

Happy Preps... :)

Heirloom

Days Left: 452 days as of today

I asked my mom if she have any ring that I can use. Because the ring that she's currently wearing is the one I like. Then she said she have one ring that she's not using because it's small. I told her I'll just look for a shop or a trusted "alahera" that can resize the ring. She said she will give it to me tomorrow. Then while we were talking regarding Pilipinas Got Talent winner and A big school for my niece. She handed me the ring. It's too small for me as well (damn you chubby fingers).

Then she handed me this other ring. She keeps on saying that it's her wedding ring, I told her that it's an engagement ring but the ring has my father's name engraved on it and their wedding date. Odd, but the ring is so simple and nice. Here's the shocking part. When she said. "Oh ayan dalawang singsing binigay ko sayo ha?!" Binigay? I was just borrowing pero okay na rin... :) I'm so happy because she gave me her engagement ring but my sister got married first so if it's an heirloom she should have given it to my older sister right?! Anyways I was so happy that I did this blog right away and asked a few friends if they know a trusted alahera to do the job. :) Here's the ring... :)

(Need to resize it 2 sizes bigger, again damn you chubby fingers)

Thanks mom for the rings. :)

That's it. Till Next Time.

Table Letters

Days Left: 462 days as of today

Finally! After months and months of editing, changing colors, fonts, & design. We made our decision regarding our Table Numbers, I mean Letters. Here's some of it.

Why "Table Letter"?

At first I made a batch in Numbers. I made like 3 batches. Then just last night Charles & I decided to make it letters instead. Since we will be having a Movie Themed Wedding. Just like in Movie Theaters, when you get your ticket you choose from seat letters & numbers. (ie. Isle A seat 1 & 2). That's how we came up with this.

We don't know yet what standee to use for this but Charles is thinking of using a stairs for it. Hmmmmmm.... is this our next DIY? :)

That's it. Till Next Time.

Happy Preps... :)

New Monograms

Days Left: 474 days as of todaySo I made our new batch of monograms recently. I just copied the old one and changed the colors. I made 3 kinds and I liked the 1st one but Charles liked the 2nd one.

(My vote)

(Charles' vote)

(I like the design on this one but i think it's too plain)

If we don't make a final decision I think we will stick with our first decision on our first batch of monograms. What decision? Have 2 monograms... :)

That's it. Till Next Time.

Let's Start From The Very Beginning

Day 1

I got inspired with the Julie/Julia movie so I made this blog/planner for our wedding. Well I don't exactly have 365 days left because I just started blogging. But I made this blog I think November. If my math is right I guess I have 291 days and 20 suppliers left before the BIG DAY. (can someone help with the countdown application that I can put on my sidebar? thank you) I better start.

HELP MEEEEE!!!!!!!

Entourage:

Believe it or not we were having our coffee date when we started talking about who to get as our ninong, ninang and abay for our wedding. Then I list the names on a tissue.(if i found the tissue I'll post it here I promise) Sweet idea huh... :) That's how we started. No proposals. no questions, no arte. Just one topic and that's it. We started planning.

Here's our draft list:

Principal Sponsors:
  • Uncle Ces & Tita Bett
  • Uncle Nato & Tita Dolor
  • Uncle Oyoy & Tita Bubot
  • Tito Jet & Tita Precy

  • Tito Kodjik & Tita Jane

Groomsmen and Bridesmaid:

Secondary Sponsors:

Cord: Kevin & Meryl

Ring Bearer: Joaquin

There. I'm so sure a lot will still change on this list.

That's it. Till Next Time.

Happy Preps... :)
