Heirloom

Days Left: 452 days as of today

I asked my mom if she have any ring that I can use. Because the ring that she's currently wearing is the one I like. Then she said she have one ring that she's not using because it's small. I told her I'll just look for a shop or a trusted "alahera" that can resize the ring. She said she will give it to me tomorrow. Then while we were talking regarding Pilipinas Got Talent winner and A big school for my niece. She handed me the ring. It's too small for me as well (damn you chubby fingers).

Then she handed me this other ring. She keeps on saying that it's her wedding ring, I told her that it's an engagement ring but the ring has my father's name engraved on it and their wedding date. Odd, but the ring is so simple and nice. Here's the shocking part. When she said. "Oh ayan dalawang singsing binigay ko sayo ha?!" Binigay? I was just borrowing pero okay na rin... :) I'm so happy because she gave me her engagement ring but my sister got married first so if it's an heirloom she should have given it to my older sister right?! Anyways I was so happy that I did this blog right away and asked a few friends if they know a trusted alahera to do the job. :) Here's the ring... :)

(Need to resize it 2 sizes bigger, again damn you chubby fingers)

Thanks mom for the rings. :)

That's it. Till Next Time.

Yummy food

Days Left: 455 days as of today

Charles & I experienced a food tasting we surely will not forget. Food served by K by Cunanan, enough said. Just by hearing/ reading the caterer's name I know for sure that the quality of the food is oh so divine. I didn't get to take pictures because it is quite dark and gloomy because of the lighting and I'm kinda shy with our AE Ms. Macy. So I just googled some pictures. Here goes.

For cocktails:
> Hoisin Chicken Wrap
> Vegetable Somasas with Mango Chutney

(Hoisin Chicken Wrap)

Soup:

(Squash Soup)

Salad:

(Barbecue Chicken Salad in Martini Glass)

Fish:

(Grilled Red Snapper with Mango Salsa & Coconut Cream)

Chicken:

(Grilled Chicken Kebab served spiced yogurt)

Rice:

(Carrot Rice)
Seafood:

(Honey Nut Prawns)

Desserts:
> Banoffee Cuos
> Flourless Chocolate Cake

(Banoffee Cups)

We both loved the carrot rice, honey nut prawns & banoffee cups. So if ever we get them as our official caterer for sure those three dishes will be served for us and our guests. I always loved K by Cunanan's Set up i loved them more because of the quality of their food. I'm wishing so hard to get them. The only problem is they don't have drapings. :( Other than that 2 thumbs up for them.

That's it. Till Next Time.

Happy Preps... :)

Oh Venue, where art thou our venue?

Days Left: 458 days as of today

We are still searching for the right venue. I have one in my and I know from the bottom of my heart that, that venue is the one. But Charles said it is too expensive. It is not yet scratched
out on our list of venues but we want to look for a venue with that "this is it" factor and affordable.

Last saturday we went on for our search again. It's in Fairview, Casa Milan's Clubhouse to be exact. Going there is a bit much for me since I don't like long drives. Our church is in Commonwealth so when we got there I started timing our travel from Commonwealth to the Venue. I think it took us a good 45 mins including traffic and being a basketball by the 3 guards from the village. Because they have seperate entrance gate for the people who don't live there. The first guard told us to turn around and go to gate 2 because that's the entrance. When we reached gate 2 the 2nd guard said that it's for delivery vans' entrance only and with sticker vehicles. He told us to go to the 3rd entrance. Finally the 3rd entrance. The place is not hard to find since they have signs to which way to go. Finally Casa Milan Clubhouse.

(Entrance to the clubhouse itself)

The place is quiet. The one who assisted us for ocular is Ms. Joan. Good thing there is a event that night so we saw the place dressed up already. The price is affordable. Here's the breakdown.

Mainhall (6 hours) 10,000
Exceeding hours 1,000/hr
Mainhall & Terrace (6 hours) 11,500
Exceeding hours 1,250/hr
Aircon (6 hours) 5,000
Exceeding hours 800/hr
Caterer's Fee 2,500

Capacity 150 max

I suggest that if you get this venue try to get the Mainhall & Terrace so that you can place the food on the terrace and the photobooth as well. When we went back to their office Charles'sasked them if they have bookings for next year already and she said none so far. Then when we told them that we will have our wedding on September, they looked at each other and laughed a little. Then a guy/gay person said "Marami pang pwedeng mangyari ng isang taon?" What was that? I don't want to take it personally but if we will be their future clients at least be nice and respectful right?!

Anyways here's some pics of the venue.

The ever dreadful LIST

Days Left: 461 days as of today

I know it is part of the wedding preparations but it is very very... very stressful to make a list and check it twice, thrice or even four times. With the help of my mom & lola our guest list of 230 became 180. Finally our intimate wedding will happen. And of course another cut down on our budget so that's a plus point again. Oh lord keep it coming. :)

That's it. Till Next Time.

Table Letters

Days Left: 462 days as of today

Finally! After months and months of editing, changing colors, fonts, & design. We made our decision regarding our Table Numbers, I mean Letters. Here's some of it.

Why "Table Letter"?

At first I made a batch in Numbers. I made like 3 batches. Then just last night Charles & I decided to make it letters instead. Since we will be having a Movie Themed Wedding. Just like in Movie Theaters, when you get your ticket you choose from seat letters & numbers. (ie. Isle A seat 1 & 2). That's how we came up with this.

We don't know yet what standee to use for this but Charles is thinking of using a stairs for it. Hmmmmmm.... is this our next DIY? :)

That's it. Till Next Time.

Happy Preps... :)
