Philippine Wedding Traditions

Days Left: 479 days as of today

Or also known as "pamahiin". We pinoys have lots and lots of pamahiin and getting married is no excuse with this traditions. Here are a few of them:

  • Brides shouldn't try on her wedding dress before the wedding day or the wedding will not push through.
  • Giving arinola (chamberpot) on the couple as wedding gifts is said to be goodluck.
  • Couples who's wedding is near should avoid long drives or traveling because they are accident-prone.
  • If it rains during the ceremony means prosperity and happiness for the couple.
  • The groom must arrive before the bride at the church to avoid bad luck.
No harm will be done if we follow some of this "pamahiin". Besides we're Filipinos we are used to this kind of traditions.

That's it. Till Next Time.

Happy Preps... :)
